These Terms apply to Mythic Gathering (mythicgathering.com), Mythic Tournament, Mythic Life Counter, and related Mythic Gaming LLC products and services you access with a Mythic account.

1. Overview

Mythic Gathering is operated by Mythic Gaming LLC (“Mythic,” “we,” “us”). These Terms apply to mythicgathering.com and related host and player tools, and to other Mythic Gaming LLC products and services you access with the same account (including Mythic Tournament and Mythic Life Counter where enabled).

Mythic Gathering provides software tools for event discovery, registration, league and event management, communication, and payment connection. Mythic Gaming LLC does not operate third-party events as the event promoter unless explicitly stated in writing.

These Terms are intended for users located in the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local law.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Mythic services. We collect date of birth during account setup to verify eligibility. If you are under 13, you may not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to register as an event host, purchase organizer subscriptions, connect Stripe, or accept payments through host tools. By registering as a host, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

By using the platform, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to agree to these Terms.

3. SaaS subscriptions

Hosts may purchase Mythic Gathering subscriptions and optional SaaS add-ons from Mythic Gaming LLC. These charges are separate from event admission and are billed through Stripe Billing when enabled.

Subscription fees grant access to platform features and quotas described on the pricing page. If a subscription lapses for non-payment or failed renewal, we email the account holder and apply the access timeline in our Subscription & Billing Policy — including limits on public listings, registration, check-in, and related host tools until renewal.

Cancellation, billing-period access, and refunds for organizer subscriptions are described in our Subscription & Billing Policy (https://mythicgathering.com/about/subscription-billing).

Mythic Guild includes unlimited per-Event attendance subject to fair use: capacity limits you set must reflect good-faith event size for your community. Abuse — such as reselling capacity, running unrelated commercial activity, or automated bulk listings — may result in account review, feature limits, or suspension.

Eligible plans may purchase Special Event workspaces and related add-ons (including sub-events and Entries) as described on the pricing page and in product documentation. Special Event purchases are separate from recurring subscriptions and are subject to our Subscription & Billing Policy unless stated otherwise at checkout.

4. Preview, Founder, and promotional access

From time to time we may operate Mythic Gathering in preview mode limited to eligible backers, founders, or invitees. During preview, access to player or host features may require an eligible account email or entitlement granted through our Kickstarter, Founder, or other fulfillment process.

The Community Ambassador program and other promotions may offer referral badges, discounts, or rewards subject to rules on our promotions pages (https://mythicgathering.com/about/promotions). Self-referrals, fraudulent sign-ups, and abuse may result in disqualification and account enforcement. Promotional pricing applies only while your entitlement remains active and as stated at enrollment.

Preview and promotional features may change or be withdrawn without notice. Promotional pricing and badges are governed by the offer shown at enrollment and our Subscription & Billing Policy.

5. Event hosts

Event hosts (communities, leagues, play groups, businesses, and other organizers) are independent third-party organizers. Hosts are responsible for:

  • Event accuracy, scheduling, and operation
  • Admissions pricing and capacity
  • Taxes, where applicable
  • Refunds and cancellations
  • Prizes, rules, and format enforcement
  • Legal compliance for their events and venues
  • Their use of player information received through the platform
  • Venue displays and other on-site screens that show pairings, standings, or player display names to people physically present at the event

Hosts may grant managers or judges access to host tools for their community. Anyone you authorize may view registrant and event data permitted by their role. You are responsible for who you invite and how they use that access.

6. Event admission & payments

When host online payment is enabled, the event host is the seller and merchant of record for event admission. Mythic Gaming LLC does not sell event tickets and does not take a per-ticket commission.

Event admission payments are intended to be processed through the host’s connected Stripe account. Mythic Gaming LLC does not collect, hold, split, or settle event admission funds as its own revenue.

Mythic Gaming LLC is not the event operator, promoter, seller, or tax collector for host admissions unless specifically required by applicable law.

Players should contact the event host for event-specific refunds, cancellations, disputes, or day-of questions.

7. Registration modes

  • Free RSVP — no admission charge through the platform
  • Host online payment — admission charged through the host’s Stripe Connect account when enabled
  • Pay at door — RSVP on Mythic Gathering; payment in person with the host (not processed by Mythic Gaming LLC)

8. Community standards

You agree to follow our Community Standards (https://mythicgathering.com/about/community-standards), including rules for appropriate profile and display images, usernames, and respectful conduct on the platform.

Content that violates those standards may be removed. Repeated or serious violations may lead to account enforcement as described below.

9. AI-Powered Features

Mythic Gathering may offer AI-assisted features, including Mythic Help (support assistant) and, for eligible organizer plans, marketing content tools described on our pricing page or in product documentation. By using these features, you agree to this section and the Mythic Gaming LLC Privacy Policy (https://mythicgamingllc.com/privacy-policy.html), also published at mythicgathering.com/privacy.

Mythic Help (Support AI)

Mythic Help is available to visitors and signed-in users on all organizer tiers. It is intended to explain how to use Mythic Gathering and the Mythic ecosystem using public help content and site navigation guidance — not to provide legal, tax, or financial advice, and not to access live account, payment, or registrant records.

AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify important information using official pages on mythicgathering.com, your account dashboards, or Mythic Help in the Support menu.

You must not use Mythic Help to attempt to obtain:

  • Another person’s or community’s personal or business information
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, billing details, or payment history (yours or anyone else’s)
  • API keys, passwords, tokens, webhook secrets, or other credentials
  • Internal server, database, or administrative information
  • Registrant rosters, audience exports, or other non-public platform data

You must not use prompt injection, role-play, false claims of authority, or repeated requests to bypass these limits.

Misuse of Mythic Help as described above is abuse and may result in the account enforcement actions in Section 11, including immediate suspension or termination across all Mythic Gaming LLC platforms and products. We may retain the conversation for investigation and notify Mythic Help in the Support menu with a summary and chat transcript. Anonymous abuse may be rate-limited or blocked without account action.

Organizer marketing AI (Mythic Guild)

Eligible Mythic Guild plans include marketing AI tools that generate drafts — such as event descriptions or social posts — for you to review and approve before publishing. You are solely responsible for content you publish, post, or distribute, including AI-assisted drafts.

Mythic Gaming LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, or performance of AI-generated marketing content and is not responsible for claims you make in posts created with AI assistance.

Future connected publishing features (for example, posting to social platforms from Mythic Guild tools) will require separate authorization and will remain subject to your review and applicable platform rules.

Third-party AI providers

AI features may rely on third-party providers (such as OpenAI). Your inputs may be processed by those providers under their terms and the Mythic Gaming LLC Privacy Policy (https://mythicgamingllc.com/privacy-policy.html). We do not sell your chat content to data brokers.

10. Your content & license

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profile information, community descriptions, and event listings). You grant Mythic Gaming LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the platform — including showing public event and community pages.

You represent that you have the rights to submit your content and that it does not violate these Terms, our Community Standards, or applicable law. We may remove content that violates our policies.

11. Account suspension & termination

Mythic Gaming LLC reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or delete any user or host account, with or without notice, for any reason we deem appropriate, including but not limited to abuse, harassment, bullying, fraud, spam, cheating, violations of these Terms or our Community Standards, applicable law, safety or platform integrity concerns, unauthorized access to data, or misuse of platform features (including Mythic Help or other AI tools — see Section 9). Serious or repeated abuse may result in loss of access across all Mythic Gaming LLC platforms and products, not only Mythic Gathering.

When we take action for abuse or policy violations affecting a signed-in account, we may act immediately and without prior notice, restrict use across all Mythic Gaming LLC platforms and products, retain relevant records (such as chat transcripts, logs, or content) for investigation, and notify Mythic Help in the Support menu or other appropriate contacts as described in our Privacy Policy. Anonymous abuse may be rate-limited or blocked without account action.

Suspension temporarily restricts access to sign-in, subscriptions, event tools, and other features until the suspension period ends or we reinstate the account. Termination permanently ends access across Mythic Gaming LLC platforms and products where your account or identity is recognized, and may remove or retain account data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We are not obligated to provide advance warning, a hearing, or an appeal process, though you may contact us at Mythic Help in the Support menu if you believe action was taken in error. Reinstatement is at our sole discretion.

If your account is suspended, you are not entitled to a refund, credit, or proration for any portion of a billing period during which access was restricted — including organizer subscriptions and other fees paid to Mythic Gaming LLC.

If your account is terminated for abuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms, our Community Standards, or other Mythic Gaming LLC policies, no refund will be issued for any unused subscription time, fees already paid, or add-on purchases — except where required by applicable law. See our Subscription & Billing Policy (https://mythicgathering.com/about/subscription-billing).

12. Platform controls

We may enable, disable, or modify payment features for compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or policy reasons. This includes suspending a host’s online payment ability or disabling online payments globally.

Community profiles may include links to a host’s website or social pages. Those sites are not operated by Mythic Gaming LLC. We show a confirmation before you leave Mythic Gathering; activity and payments on third-party sites are between you and the host.

Venue display features let hosts show live event information on TVs or projectors at a venue. Hosts control when displays are open, what is shown, and who can see screens on site. Mythic is not responsible for information visible to people physically present at a venue when a host enables a display.

13. Third-party platforms

Our services may integrate with third-party platforms such as Discord, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, Apple, Stripe, and OpenAI. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the third party’s terms and policies.

Hosts who connect Discord servers or Meta Pages must comply with those platforms’ rules, including rules against spam and unauthorized data use. See our Host data & communications guidelines (https://mythicgathering.com/about/host-data-guidelines).

Mythic Gaming LLC does not operate or moderate host-owned Discord servers, Facebook groups, or other off-platform communities unless we state otherwise in writing.

14. Disclaimers & assumption of risk

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. MYTHIC GAMING LLC DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES REGARDING UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. AI-GENERATED OUTPUT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS; YOU USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Mythic Gaming LLC is not responsible for host conduct, venue conditions, prize fulfillment, physical injury at events, or disputes between players and hosts except as required by law.

You participate in tabletop and community events at your own risk. Hosts — not Mythic Gaming LLC — operate events, set rules, and handle day-of safety unless we explicitly state otherwise.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYTHIC GAMING LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYTHIC GAMING LLC’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO MYTHIC GAMING LLC FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mythic Gaming LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your content, events, or community activities
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
  • Disputes between you and other users (including players and hosts)
  • Your use of third-party integrations connected through your account

17. Dispute resolution

This section applies to disputes between you and Mythic Gaming LLC. It does not govern disputes solely between players and event hosts about event admission — those are between you and the host.

Informal resolution first

Before starting arbitration or court proceedings (except for small claims or emergency injunctive relief), you must send a written description of the dispute to legal@mythicgamingllc.com and allow at least thirty (30) days for us to try to resolve it informally.

Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not as a class or collective action. The Federal Arbitration Act applies. The arbitrator will apply Idaho law to the merits of the dispute.

Arbitration will be administered under applicable consumer arbitration rules of a recognized provider (such as the American Arbitration Association or JAMS) as selected by Mythic Gaming LLC, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Class action waiver

You and Mythic Gaming LLC each waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action regarding any dispute covered by this section, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Exceptions

  • Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies
  • Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property or unauthorized access
  • Government or regulatory actions are not subject to this section

Disputes with Stripe, Discord, Meta, or other third-party providers are governed by those providers’ terms.

18. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

For any court proceedings allowed under these Terms (including to enforce an arbitration award or for carved-out claims), you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Idaho, and waive any objection to venue in those courts.

19. Companion apps (Life Counter & Tournament)

Mythic Life Counter and Mythic Tournament are optional companion apps. Using them with the same Mythic account subject you to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, including sections on push notifications, Discord linking, player-initiated shares, event check-in, and match reporting.

Player shares to a host Discord server are your content. You must not post harassment, spoilers, or illegal material. Hosts may disable player shares. Mythic delivers shares on your instruction; hosts remain responsible for their Discord communities.

Tournament pairings and standings are operated through Mythic Tournament services. Life Counter is a table aid; you are responsible for verifying game state and submitting accurate results.

During connected events, players may request a judge call from Life Counter. Host staff may see table assignments and call status in host tools or on venue displays. Do not misuse judge calls to harass staff or disrupt events.

Life Counter player card styling you sync (such as backgrounds or showcase badges) may appear on venue displays and host tools during events. Keep card content appropriate for public display at your venue.

20. General

Electronic acceptance of these Terms (including checkboxes at registration or checkout) has the same effect as a signed agreement to the extent permitted by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law) survive account closure.
